Book Illustration

I am currently working with my client/author on illustrations for his book on the genesis of earth, from nothingness to light and life. The illustrations digitally drawn start off as simple digital paintings and get more complex as the story gets more involved.

Conceptual Design

I am in the process of creating a series of home portrait conceptual designs capturing the homes personality. The objective with the other drawings was to create conceptual interior designs portraying a hotel and a restaurant. I quickly sketched the layout, produced a digital drawing, and created simple brushstrokes to develop texture, depth, color and atmosphere.

Digital Illustration

My senior thesis in Illustration focused on athletes who are an inspiration in my life, to create a series fusing illustration and type, spotlighting my unique ability as a designer who can draw. The wedding couple and nurse black and white digital paintings were created with a pop of color for a client. Mammalot is a story I created about our present day mammals fused with dinosaurs capturing their individual personalities. Designamals are a series of very simplistic animal designs I created portraying all kinds of animals using very simple and bold shapes and colors.

Painting

This is a collection of still life oil paintings, and watercolor paintings.

Portraiture

I enjoy portraiture and use a variety of mediums from digital to traditional, including charcoal and scratchboard. These portraits are a mix of professional projects for clients and college assignments.
